Help / FAQs

What materials do I need to conduct a facilitated session?

We recommend that you use a computer and conduct the facilitated session in a location where you can connect to the Internet to show the video vignettes. Your monitor setting should be at thousands of colors and the minimum screen resolution at 1024x768. To access the Facilitator's Guide and accompanying slides on the Facilitator site, your computer must have Adobe. You may also wish to have a printer available at your session if participants will be completing the course at the session location, so they may print their certificates immediately.

How do I edit a participant's information after I added the participant?

If you incorrectly type the name or email address of a participant, you should remove the participant and add a new participant with the correct name and email address.

What usernames or passwords should I assign my participants?

You must also assign a username which should be an email address for each user. Usernames must be unique to each participant; you may not assign multiple users with the same username and you may not register a participant with a username that already exists in our database. If you wish to add existing users to your class, you must use the email address that the user used during registration. However, adding existing users to your class will not clear previously completed pretests and posttests. (Please note: When you add each participant, the users will receive an email with a link to create a password and complete a Registration form, and must do so before logging in). Participants may change their email addresses at any time.

How will my participants know I have signed them up for a session?

Once you have created and registered a new user and selected the add button at the bottom of the page, an email will be sent to the participant with instructions to log into the Small Group Learning site at https://cccdpcr.thinkculturalhealth.hhs.gov/SmallGroup/ and how to complete their registration form. Don't forget that you must inform participants of the date, time, and location of your facilitated session.

How will my participants know when or where a class is?

You must inform participants of the date, time, and location of your facilitated session. This information is not stored in the program database; therefore, you must contact your participants directly.

How do I unlock a course activity?

Giving Class Participants Access to the Course Pretest

Each class participant should create their password, and complete the Registration form before coming to your Facilitated session. Upon their registration, they should also complete the A Little About You survey before coming to your facilitated session. In order for the participants to take the pretest, you will need to unlock the course pretests for your participants. Unlocking the pretest for your participants means that you will make it available for them to take via the Small Group Learning Participant's website and it will show up as unlocked on their My Progress pages. To unlock a Course, please complete the following steps:

  1. At the Facilitator Administration Page, click the Unlock Pretest button. This will unlock all Participants' pretests who have already completed the A Little About You survey.

Giving Class Participants Access to the Course Posttest

Each class participant will complete the course posttest following your facilitated session. After you have conducted the small group session, you must log back into the Facilitator Administration Page and unlock the posttests for your participants. To do this, please complete the following steps:

  1. At the Facilitator Administration Page, click the Unlock Posttest button. This will unlock all Participants' Posttests that have already completed the Pretest.

Why did the system automatically log me out?

If you are participating in this course and you leave your computer idle for 60 minutes or more, the system will automatically end your session by logging you out. If this happens while you are filling out a form or answering a test, you will lose your answers and the system will prompt you to log-in again. This time limit is imposed to prevent someone else from clicking or submitting something to an 'open Web session' if you step away from your computer.
